Rachel Flor has served as Executive Director of the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation since October 2019. She oversees all operations of the Foundation, the non-profit partner and creative collaborator of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, which is administered by the United States National Archives and Records Administration.
Under Rachel’s leadership, the JFK Library Foundation is pioneering innovative programs and partnerships to bring the lessons and inspiration of the Kennedy legacy to today’s biggest challenges. Among these initiatives include the Foundation’s groundbreaking partnership with The Earthshot Prize, a high-impact global venture to address the climate crisis led by Prince William; the creation and launch of a unique executive education program that grounds powerful leadership skills training in a study of President Kennedy’s most compelling speeches and public actions; the 2022 historic visit of President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. to the JFK Library in celebration of the 60th anniversary of President Kennedy’s Moonshot speech; and the widely acclaimed JFK Library Foundation events in Berlin and Ireland, collaborating with influential individuals and institutions to renew the spirit and inspiration of President Kennedy’s momentous 1963 visits.
Prior to her appointment as Executive Director, Rachel served the Foundation for more than thirteen years in a variety of roles spanning all facets of the organization, including Deputy Director and Vice President of Communications and Digital Media. She holds a M.A. in Modern English Literature from University College London and a B.A. in English Literature from George Washington University. She was named one of Boston’s Most Influential People by Boston Magazine and to the Boston Business Journal’s 40 under 40 list.
