Jordan Brooks is Senior Advisor and Campaign Director at More Perfect. She is an experienced executive leader working at the intersection of policy, politics, government and equity. She has managed organizations and teams at the highest levels from the White House to the non-profit sector always with a critical eye towards impact. She most recently returned to public service, as Deputy Assistant to the President and Chief of Staff to the Second Gentleman at the White House. Jordan built the Second Gentleman’s policy platform and political strategy, serving as his advisor and manager of his team. Under her leadership, the Second Gentleman’s team created meaningful engagement with the American people on combating hate and antisemitism, advancing gender equity and advocating for equal access to justice.
Before returning to the White House, Jordan was the Executive Vice President of Gender Equity at Civic Nation and the Executive Director of the United State of Women (USOW), a national initiative aiming to create a world in which women and all people of marginalized genders can thrive. USOW serves as a critical platform for partners, stakeholders, and supporters to advocate for a more gender equitable world. Jordan led USOW to build a national campaign, a broad national coalition of organizations working to advance gender equity, convened women across sectors for 10 local and national summits, and trained more than 20,000 women and allies to take action.
Prior to USOW, Jordan spent eight years in the Obama—Biden White House serving as the Deputy Executive Director of the White House Council on Women and Girls, and in the Office of the First Lady and the Office of the Vice President. Jordan began her career on the 2008 Obama for America Presidential campaign.
Jordan earned a BA in Political Science from the University of Notre Dame. She lives in Washington, DC with her husband, Brian and her dog, Teddy.
