Annique Dunning has been Executive Director at Sherwood Forest, home of President John Tyler, since 2014. Her professional experience is in the decorative arts. She was a research assistant to author Emyl Jenkins, a specialist in furniture and decorative objects at Neal Auction Company, New Orleans, and a fellow of the Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts’ 1998 Summer Institute focused on the Chesapeake region. She was technical editor of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Buying and Selling Antiques by Emyl Jenkins (MacMillan, 2000). As principal of an appraisal firm in Richmond, Virginia, she appraised significant private, corporate and museum collections. Annique holds a B.A. in history from the University of Virginia and a French language degree (DELF) from Université Lyon 2, Lyon, France.
